Romanian conditioning

Hit the snooze button a few to many times this morning and missed my running club. I was pretty sad!

Since I was up I decided to have a little breakfast…

No grain oatmeal…delicious I really enjoy this recepie

Ingredients:

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

1-2 tbsp ground flaxseed

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 banana, mashed

3/4 cup liquid egg whites (or 3 egg whites)

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (add more if desired)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Whisk together egg whites and almond milk and then stir in walnuts, ground flax, banana, vanilla extract, and cinnamon; blend well.
  2. In a medium saucepan, warm the mixture on the stove, stirring frequently, until the “oatmeal” reaches the desired consistency; this should only take a few minutes.

Top with berries, nut butter, seeds, or whatever else your little heart desires

I decided to take a run next

I’m horrible at doing sprints on my own, So i kept it a nice pace run. Perfect for enjoying the morning!

A couple hours later I was hungry again so I whipped up what I could with the little I had…ta daaaa…

Scramble with apple sausage, spinach, onion’s, and mushrooms and a berry smoothie

After lunch I headed down to my box to take a Romanian conditioning class. It wasn’t as scary as it sounds, but I can already feel the soreness setting in.  We started with a 20 minute conditioning circuit of push-ups, wall balls (a lot of them) ladder exercises, some gymnastics, core exercises, plyometric…well a little of everything. After that we did a marine exercise that consisted of moving sandbags, medicine balls, heavy bags, and tires to safe zones. The class ended with an obscene amount of dumbbell presses, squats, rows, and snatches…all in a row…over 800 reps in 8 minutes! Let’s just say I was good on exercise intake for today!
